There is nothing better than fall in the Colorado Mountains. Well, maybe there is a fall mountain wedding! To top it all off it was my brother in law marrying the most amazing women and I was ecstatic. Matt and Freh found each other the slow way. They worked together and were just acquaintances. Then Matt learned that Freh went to his church and a friendship blossomed. For as long as it took for them to initially recognize it, it took a very short time for them to be taken by each other. They were immediately connected. They found depth in vulnerability and love in each other that is hard to match in relationships that have been going on for 50 years. It was magic.
To say that we love Freh is an incredible understatement. She and her two girls Ruhama and Grace bring a joy to our lives that is unmatched. Her generosity, love, deep values and fun personality add a new dimension to our family and we couldn’t be happier that she joined it.
So what better way to celebrate than with close family, friends, and mountain views. They got married at Grand Colorado on Peak 8 in a very small and intimate ceremony. Everyone they love had a hand in their wedding. Matt’s mom helped with the venue where we spend time together yearly as a family. Charity, our sister in law, shared her talents from her floral business Rose Wilder Design for all the flowers and design. Tim, Matt’s brother, did the ceremony while his other brothers did music and helped with logistics (not to mention a killer speech too). Their friends from work did the food, and she had custom glasses hand made by a friend with their faces on them. It was grand and comfortable all at the same time. It felt real and full of meaning and it was perfect! I am so glad to have been able to photograph it, but more so witness such an amazing union.
