How often do you get to meet someone’s extended family? Which begs the question: how often do you get to see your extended family? For me, it is not as much as I would like. Distance, jobs, schedules, etc all these things limit our time the way we get to spend our time. So every moment we have with them is special. That is why I think it is so important to take extended family photos. For the Bells, I don’t think they take it for granted for one second. When we were at Garden of the Gods, you could see how deep their bonds are by the way they look at each other. By their inside jokes, by how comfortable they are with each other. I know that sounds weird, to say a family is comfortable with each other, but there is something beyond comfort like being able to be vulnerable with people that shines through. This family is truly special.
I am so glad I got to hang out with them. I had a blast. Beyond how great they are to photograph, they are hilarious too. I laughed, a lot. I have known Amy and Matt for a while now. I knew them when they got married, took newborn photos when had their first child and showed of their family of four with Charlie, their second. Both boys are beyond cool and sweet. Meeting Amy’s family just made it all make sense. I can’t wait to see more of them and their awesome family.
