Well here we are, into the 3rd trimester and giddy

Well here we are, into the 3rd trimester and giddy and worried and all the feels. It is so crazy to think about the multitude of things you can experience at once. I think about this a lot at weddings. There is so much joy in a wedding but there is hidden sorrow too. Missing people you love, stress from planning, worry as to what could go wrong, faith in the person you are marrying.
The same goes for families. Someone asked me recently if it is sad being a parent, watching your child grow. Parenthood is the saddest and happiest thing in the world and each moment contains both. Knowing that childhood only lasts so long while also loving that moment is so hard. I am not sure how I don’t just cry and laugh alternating all day.
But I suppose that is what makes life so beautiful. The complexity and unpredictability. The joy you can only know if you also know pain.

I am readying myself for a new chapter in this story.

This, to me, is everything.

I am working on editing this shoot and I stopped on this photo and could do nothing else. It could be pregnancy but it is kind of making my eyes leak. Well, it is making my eyes leak actually. It encompasses life as a young family so much. The feel of holding your kids in your arms, however they will curl up; Imperfectly. You lean over to your spouse and look them in the eye and realize this is it. This is your life, your world, this is the person you get to share it with.
That is all, that is everything, it is magic.

My goodness babies are beautiful. This one… well, exceptionally so. Her parents are so lucky to have her and frankly her to have them. They are the kindest, coolest, chillest people and they are so overjoyed to be with her. I was so glad I got to go over and snuggle her when she was newborn. Oh… and take some photos too.
